    History, Power and Justice

    Introduces students to the historical forces and processes that have shaped contemporary global power structures and inequalities since 1400. Topics will include the rise and fall of empires; the impact of colonialism on Indigenous worlds; slavery and other forms of exploitative labour; the expansion of global capitalism; and histories of resistance to empires and various forms of inequality.
